Clubs & Activities

Each term, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular clubs and activities, as well as a comprehensive programme of wrap-a-round care.

Breakfast Club takes place every day in the school dining room from 7.45 am to 8.15 am. Children may be brought to the dining room, without prior booking. There is a daily charge of £3 for this, invoiced in arrears.

Prep School children may also attend supervised homework sessions at the end of the school day (4.15 pm). These are run by Oakwood staff from 4.15 to 5.15 pm (‘Prep’) and from 5.15 until 6 pm (‘Late Prep’).

The exciting range of lunchtime and after school activities changes every term. They may include: fencing, backgammon, athletics, running, tennis coaching, judo, karate, art, forest school, ballet, cookery, Minecraft club, fun Spanish, rugby/hockey/netball/cricket skills, dodgeball, Glee Club, learning to sign and football training with Portsmouth Football Club.  The cost of each club varies but typically ranges from £45 to £65 per term. Lunchtime activities take place once the children have eaten their meal, and after school activities take place from 4.15 pm until 5.15 pm.

Individual and small group music lessons and speech and drama lessons are also available during the school day. More information on this is available from the school office.
