Successful open day at Oakwood!

Monday 22nd May 2017

Thank you to everyone who helped to make Saturday's family activity and open day such a success! The dogs behaved beautifully, the bouncy castle was very popular and well done to the lucky winners of the fabulous hampers, the 'guess how many balloons in the people carrier?' game and the teddy bear competitions!

We were delighted to show over 25 prospective families around the school, and we hope to see them again for a more in depth visit to our classrooms after half term.

A special mention must be made of Evie Burton and Chloe Mackley, who set up and ran their own stall to raise funds for PICU, the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Southampton hospital. The girls went to a great deal of trouble for the day, creating games, collecting items to raffle and sell and even baking wonderful elephant cupcakes. Well done, Chloe and Evie, you were amazing and we are very proud of you!
