What did you do before you came to teach at Oakwood?
I began my teaching career in Central London, took a gap year and travelled, then taught in leafy Cheshire.
What qualities are important for a teacher?
Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy and the willingness to go the extra mile
What are the best ways to encourage and motivate children?
Positive expectations, fun and laughter

It’s a creative, unique environment that enables all pupils to grow and learn.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at school?
Reading! I always have my head in a book or I am attached to my kindle.
Long, rambling dog walks with friends & family!
Holidays and travelling to new places - everyone should have a gap year!
What are your favourite Oakwood memories?
Sports Days and Yr 6 School Plays, when I was an Oakwood parent, I watched my own children flourishing, competing and learning, so much fun!
What is your favourite time of year at Oakwood?
Spring - there's nowhere better!
What would you do if you weren’t a teacher?
Work in Team England Netball!
