What do you think makes Oakwood special?
The family feel and emphasis on the children as individuals makes Oakwood special. Children feel safe and happy. Oakwood also makes sure that children’s talents and achievements are recognised and shared. Children take pride in their own success and that of their peers. The staff are all supportive and help make Oakwood a lovely place to come to work each day.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at school?
I enjoy running and sailing. Over the last few years I have begun cold water swimming which I love. I like to spend time with friends and enjoy live music. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my family.
What is one of your favourite Oakwood memories?
One of my favourite memories was when we first came back to school after the initial lock down and we managed to have an outdoor whole school charity event with a circus theme. It was really special to see all of the children laughing and having fun albeit in their bubbles.
What is your favourite time of year at Oakwood?
I love the Michaelmas term, the grounds always look beautiful in Autumn and the lead up to Christmas, whilst busy, is so exciting for the children.
