Clare Bradbury
Clare BradburyHeadteacher

Clare is no stranger to Chichester, moving to Oakwood in September 2015 from nearby Westbourne House School where she was Deputy Head for 4 years.  Prior to this, Clare experienced many integral leadership roles in the school including Head of Juniors and running boarding houses, along with her husband John and their two boys, Harry and Sam.

Before moving to West Sussex Clare relished the opportunity to travel and experience a variety of educational systems in both Europe and Worldwide, teaching across a broad spectrum of ages and subjects.   Having an open mind and a passion for children to be confident, happy and independent is key for Clare as the Head of Oakwood.

Ian Brittain
Ian BrittainBursar / Clerk to the Governors

Ian joined Oakwood as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors in January 2015, having previously spent three years as Bursar at Tavistock & Summerhill School in Haywards Heath. Prior to that, Ian had a 25 year career with Lloyds Bank, as an operations and continuous improvement manager. Ian has a wealth of financial, operations and management experience, and is passionate about ensuring that Oakwood continues to develop as a successful and forward thinking school.

Ian lives in Westergate with his wife, Lita, and enjoys walking, travelling, and sports, especially cricket. He is Chairman of Eastergate Cricket Club. Holidays are a passion, and Ian is always planning and researching the next holiday - his favourite destination is the Lake District, which he discovered whilst studying Geography at Lancaster University in the 1980s.

Felix Page
Felix PageHead of Pastoral Care

Felix Page is a Year 6 form tutor and teaches Maths, English, Computing, Humanities and Games as well as leading Pastoral Care at Oakwood. Felix joined Oakwood in 2014, having previously worked at Bransgore Primary School. Before teaching, he was a Senior Caseworker for the Wessex Youth Offending Team and Education Welfare for 7 years. He brings a wealth of pastoral experience and is passionate that all children are able to embrace and overcome their own individual challenges at school and learn the skills necessary to live happy, fulfilling lives.

Felix lives in Southsea with his wife, Emma. He enjoys all sports, guitars, bacon sandwiches, long walks involving pubs and is the voice commentary of Bournemouth balloon!

Nicole Stephens
Nicole StephensHead of Academics

Nicole is a primary specialist who graduated from Homerton College, Cambridge and taught for several years in central London. Following a sabbatical travelling, she was then Head of Science and PSHE for ten years at St Thomas’s Parochial School in North Cheshire.

Since 2007, Nicole has taught at Oakwood, starting as a Reception teacher, and then as a Year 5 form tutor teaching science and girls’ games. Nicole is now based in Year 3 where she teaches English, maths, and science, following two years as Head of Pastoral Care.

Nicole believes every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential through a rich and varied curriculum, with individual support and care.

Nicole is married, a mother of two very active teenagers with two large dogs!
